Timelapse

An overview of how to use the Timelapse functionality within the Insights Tool Bar.

1.0 Introduction

The Timelapse tool provides interactive playback of time‑based data, enabling users to scrub through defined periods or run automated animations for trend analysis.

2.0 Timelapse

Follow these steps to use the timelapse functionality in Insights:

  1. Open the tool:
    • Click the Timelapse button in the Insights Tool Bar
  2. Scrub through time periods:
    • Use the slider to manually scrub through the time periods defined in your Insights report
    • Toggle days of the week on or off to focus on daily trends
  3. Playback the timelapse:
    • In the top‑right corner of the Timelapse panel, set the playback speed
    • Click the Play button to start an animated playback of changes over time

⚠️NOTE: The timelapse interface reflects the time periods defined in the Time Dropdown in the Action Bar. If you limit the time periods there, the timelapse will only display those selected intervals.
